Frequently Asked

What makes Capital Farms beef different from meat in the local grocery store?

  • Flavor. Simply put. Taste the difference today.
  • Capital Farms Beef does not have any artificial flavors or ingredients added, and the beef is minimally processed.
  • Capital Farms steaks are raised and processed in the USA.
  • Capital Farms Striploin steaks are cut from the ‘Rib Half’ of the Loin sub-primal. What this means is that the ‘Sirloin End’ is not present in our Striploin steaks. Steaks from this region are called ‘Vein Steaks’ and can lead to a relatively poorer eating experience. In short, Capital Farms Striploin steaks are cut in a way that minimizes connective tissue and gristle.

Can I customize cuts?

Our beef is sold with a Pre Fixed Menu.

But we are happy to make modifications for food allergies and small tweaks!

(Sausages contain Pork and Cheese + Hot dogs are made with a natural sheep casing)

How long does it last?

As long as all packages remain frozen, the meat is good for 1+ years!! Vacuum sealed meat has the best freezer shelf life of all frozen meat products.

How much freezer space?

1/8 = Freezer Size Needed: 3 cubic feet

1/4 = Freezer Size Needed: 6 cubic feet

Hoe Long Can I Store Frozen Beef?

For the highest quality, plan to cook our beef within 12 months. Beef will remain safe when stored constantly at 0°F or below; however, quality degrades with lengthy freezer storage. For best eating experience, the freezer should be set at 0°F or below and beef should remain packaged tightly to keep air from getting in. If beef is frozen without being sealed tightly, freezer burn may occur. The product remains safe to eat, but the areas with freezer burn will be dried out and tasteless and should be trimmed away.

Are the Cattle Grass Fed?

YES! Our cattle are grass fed for 3 years on the Sonoran Desert.

Then grain finished for 200 Days.

What Grains are Fed?

Cattle are fed a vegetarian diet of cereal grains (corn) and forages balanced for proper nutritional density using the National Research Council guidelines by our Animal Nutritional consultants for health and well-being. Limitations in availability of GMO free feed ingredients both in the U.S. or through imports hinders the ability to solely feed select ingredients to our cattle.

GMO Free Corn?

Limitations in availability of GMO free feed ingredients in the U.S. hinders the ability to solely feed select GMO free ingredients to our cattle.

Hormone Free

We don’t use hormones to speed things up. Instead, we let nature, quality grains, and time do the work to create a naturally tasty beef product.

Antibiotics

Corriente cattle are also naturally healthy and hardy. They don’t need a lot of medicine, but when they do, we care for them like family. Their resilience makes them a joy to raise and an important part of our farm.

mRNA Vaccine - Misinformation Statement

To clarify, there are no mRNA vaccines approved or used in the U.S. beef cattle supply at this time. There was a research trial being conducted in the past for initial testing, no mRNA vaccines have been approved for use in the bovine species. Recent internet claims suggesting otherwise are false, as confirmed by the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA statement here).

At Capital Farms, we don’t believe in using fear or misinformation to sell our products. It’s not who we are. Our commitment has always been to honesty, transparency, and raising beef with integrity.

Why am I Paying Sales Tax?

In Wickenburg, grocery items like beef have a 2.2% city sales tax.

For all other products such as merchandise, provisions, jerky, ect. all applicable sales taxes are applied.

Years from now, your children won't remember another grocery trip.

They'll remember steak dinners after long weeks.

Burgers on summer evenings.

Roasts shared around the holidays.

The meals that brought everyone to the table.

A Half Beef isn't simply an order.

It's an investment in the traditions worth keeping.
