Cattle Source

Good beef starts with great cattle. The best Corriente herds are found in the Sierra Madre Mountains, which stretch through North and Central America. We partner with ranches like Los Tunas Cattle Company in Chihuahua, Mexico, who have been raising Corriente cattle for many years.

Grass Fed

We buy young calves from these ranchers, and our Corriente cattle graze on the rangelands surrounding Wickenburg, AZ, for two years. They eat natural desert plants, with no need for artificial irrigation or fertilizers. These cattle make good use of land that other breeds can’t thrive on, helping regenerate the environment while growing strong and healthy.

Grain Finished

Finally, the cattle go to Red Rock Feeding in southern Arizona. They are fed a grain-based diet for 240 days to ensure tender, flavorful meat. We don’t use hormones to speed things up. Instead, we let nature, quality grains, and time do the work to create a naturally tasty beef product.

Taste the Difference

Corriente beef is unique because it naturally has marbling that rivals top-grade beef like Choice or Prime. Unlike most beef cattle that are harvested at about 18 months old, our Corriente cattle are harvested at 48 months or older. This extra time gives the beef a deep, rich flavor and a buttery, tender texture that you won’t find in typical beef. It’s the kind of beef that brings back memories of how meat used to taste—rich, flavorful, and full of natural goodness, made for today’s beef enthusiasts.

Corriente cattle are also naturally healthy and hardy. They don’t need a lot of medicine, but when they do, we care for them like family. Their resilience makes them a joy to raise and an important part of our farm.
