Ingredients
- 2 NY Strip Steaks (grass-fed, preferably corriente)
- 1 cup of rice
- 2 cups of water
- 2 cups macaroni salad
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for grilling
- Optional: Fresh herbs for garnish
Directions
- Start by seasoning the NY Strip Steaks with salt and pepper. Let them sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. In a pot, combine the rice and water, bringing it to a boil. Once boiling, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 18 minutes or until the water is absorbed.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Brush the grill with olive oil and place the steaks on it. Grill for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, adjusting time based on thickness and desired doneness.
- Once the steaks are done, let them rest for 5 minutes, then slice against the grain. Serve with a side of rice and macaroni salad, garnishing with fresh herbs if desired.
